Nukketeatterijuhla TIP-Fest 18.-22.11.2011
Tänä vuonna toista kertaa
järjestettävä Nukketeatterijuhla TIP-Fest (Turku
International Puppetry Festival) on Turussa toimivien nukketeatterin
ammattilaisten yhteisponnistus, johon oman loisteensa tuovat
kansainväliset alan huiput. Ohjelma koostuu sekä lapsille että
aikuisille suunnatuista visuaalisen teatterin esityksistä,
työpajoista, seminaareista, nukkenäyttelyistä sekä
avajaisjuhlasta ja päätösklubista. Lämminhenkinen tapahtuma
on kaikenikäisiä ihmisiä yhdistävä valopilkku marraskuun
pimeydessä.
TIP-Fest lennättää
Turkuun nukketeatterin mestareita Venäjältä (Viktor Antonov, Hand
Made Theatre), Ruotsista (Dockteaterverkstan), USA:sta (Sandglass
Theatre: Eric Bass), Portugalista (Circolando Theatre), Saksasta
(Uta Gebert) ja Liettuasta. Six Fingers Theatren
mikroteatterifestivaali Mikromarathon yllättää yleisön eri
puolilla kaupunkia koko TIP-Festin ajan. Sen tiimoilta ensi-iltansa
saa myös TIP-Connectionin tuottama ainutlaatuinen kulttuuritapahtuma
STILL/LIFE - around 12 worlds in 1 hour, jossa turkulaiset
nukketeatterintekijät animoivat 12 nuoren liettualaisen
lavastajan valmistamia pienoismalleja.
TIP-Festin
pääjärjestäjänä toimii TIP-Connection ry (Turku International
Puppetry Connection ry) yhteistyössä useiden turkulaistahojen
kanssa. Turun Taideakatemiassa toimii koko pohjoismaiden ainoa
ammattiin valmistava nukketeatterin koulutusohjelma, mikä on luonut
kaupunkiin vireän visuaalisen teatterin ilmapiirin synnyttäen useita
aktiivisia nukketeatteriryhmiä. TIP-Festin ytimessä kuhisee koko
Turun hurmaava nukketeatterikenttä: HOX Company, Kuuma
Ankanpoikanen, Marionettiteatteri Mundo, Rahtiteatteri, Six Fingers
Theatre, Taiga-Matto, Teatteri Sudenenne, Teatteri Vanaja,
TIP-Connection sekä Turun Taideakatemian nukketeatterilinja. Muualta
Suomesta juhlayleisöä tulevat viihdyttämään mm. Akseli Klonk
Oulusta, Vekkulikettu Tampereelta sekä Kalteva Company ja Teatteri
Metamorfoosi Helsingistä. TIP-Festin erikoisvieraana nähdään
ikimuistoinen, aito Hapsiainen, joka hyppää televisiosta
teatterinäyttämölle ensimmäistä kertaa elämässään!
Vuonna 2011 TIP-Fest järjestetään 18.-22. marraskuuta ja esityspaikkoina toimivat mm. Seikkailupuisto, TEHDAS Teatteri, Nukketeatteritalo Mundo, Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova ja Fortuna-kortteli. TIP-Festiä tukevat Alli Paasikiven säätiö, Goethe-instituutti, Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö, Ragnar Ekbergin säätiö, Turun teatterikerhon säätiö, Turku 2011 -säätiö ja Varsinais-Suomen kulttuurirahasto.

The Turku International Puppetry Festival – TIP-Fest
The TIP-Fest (Turku International Puppetry Festival), held for the second time in 2011, is
a combined effort of Turku-based puppetry professionals and international top names. The
programme includes pieces of visual theatre aimed at both children and adults, along with
workshops, seminars, puppet exhibitions, opening celebrations and a final club. The aim of the
event is to bring people of all ages together for a warm moment in the middle of the dark, cold
November.
TIP-Fest brings masters of puppetry to Turku from all corners of the world: Russia (Viktor
Antonov, Hand Made Theatre), Sweden (Dockteaterverkstan), the United States (Sandglass
Theatre: Eric Bass), Portugal (Circolando Theatre), Germany (Uta Gebert) and Lithuania.
Mikromarathon, a festival of micro theatre by the Six Fingers Theatre, is ready to surprise viewers
all over the town throughout the festival. TIP-Connection's unique cultural event STILL/LIFE –
Around 12 Worlds in 1 Hour will be performed for the first time: in this performance puppeteers
from Turku animate models created by 12 young stage designers from Lithuania.
The main organizing body of the festival is the TIP-Connection, working in co-operation with
various Turku-based partners. The puppetry department of the Turku Arts Academy is the only
school in the Nordic countries that trains puppetry professionals, and the programme has helped to
establish numerous active groups and a vivid scene of visual theatre in the town.
At the center of TIP-Fest is the lively puppetry scene of Turku: HOX Company, Kuuma
Ankanpoikanen, Marionettiteatteri Mundo, Rahtiteatteri, Six Fingers Theatre, Taiga-Matto,
Teatteri Sudenenne, Teatteri Vanaja, TIP-Connection and students of the Arts Academy puppetry
department.
In 2011 the TIP-Fest will be organized from November 18th to the 22th. Venues include the Turku
Adventure Park, Theatre TEHDAS, Puppetry House Mundo, the Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova museum
and the Fortuna Quarter. TIP-Fest is supported by the Alli Paasikivi foundation, the Goethe-
institut, the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ragnar Ekberg foundation, the Turun
teatterikerho foundation, Turku 2011 Foundation and the Varsinais-Suomi Culture Fund.
